Painted Ghorros Warhoof

Ghorros almost makes me wish I owned a lot more Centigor.  If I did, I would love to field the core Centigor army with him running the show.  If nothing else, I think it would be a lot of fun.

I'm really pleased with my painting on Ghorros.  In these last three models I've done for the Beastmen, I've tried to really emphasize giving multiple levels of highlighting and shading to each color on the model.  I even don't hate the horse part of the model, which I generally always have in the past.  Horses were probably the most frustrating and tricky part of painting Bretonnians, and that hasn't really changed.

Anyway, comments are welcome as always.

  1. Pretty cool. The shading does look good, and it helps little things like his facial scar (if I'm looking at that right) stand out.

    How is Ghorros in-game?

  2. Thanks! Ghorros in game is a typical Beastman glass cannon. He hits like a truck and has very little protection when getting hit. His main trick is making Centigor into core units instead of being special selections. He also improves the Weapon Skill on the unit of Centigor he joins, and has some other gimmick type abilities.

Honestly, he'd be fun to use in non-tournament games if I had a few more centigor in order to fill up my core. Since special characters aren't allowed at most tournaments, he'd be just for the casual games.
